Brake fluid acts as a hydraulic fluid, transferring power and lubricating brake system components while also preventing corrosion. Fights Water Contamination

Water contaminates the brake system by seeping through microscopic pores in flexible brake lines and seals and through the reservoir fill cap. Brake fluid itself is hygroscopic (attracts moisture).
